BOURNEMOUTH COMMUNITY TRANSPORT
Bournemouth Community Transport runs several projects which help the elderly and those who, because of a physical or sensory disability, are unable to use public transport. The BAT Bus (Bournemouth Accessible Transport) runs a morning shopping service and an afternoon Hospital Visiting service. A Social Car Scheme using Volunteer drivers helps those with mobility difficulties to make essential journeys. Shopmobility units in the Sovereign Centre, Boscombe and the Castlepoint Shopping Centre offer a selection of mobility vehicles which can be hired on a daily or long loan basis.
